Maple Syrup Nut Cake

Ingredients:
2 1/4 cups flour
2/3 cup white sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup maple syrup
1/2 cup soft shortening
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs
1 cup chopped nuts
Instructions:
1. Sift dry ingredients together into bowl.

2. Add syrup, shortening and milk; beat 2 minutes. Add eggs and beat 2 minutes. Add chopped nuts and mix well. Pour into 2 greased and floured 9" pans. Bake in 350ºF oven for 25 to 30 minutes. Frost.
