Creamy Pudding Sauce

Makes 2 cups sauce
Description:
Serve with Steamed Cranberry Pudding.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or hard margarine
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
1 cup evaporated skim milk (or light cream)
1 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. salt
Instructions:
Melt butter in saucepan.
Mix in flour.
Stir in milk.
Heat and stir until it boils and thickens.
Add sugar, vanilla and salt.
Stir to dissolve sugar.
