19 years old - would contracting chickenpox have complexities?

I'm currently 19 and I think I am going to have chickenpox soon. Will it be serious?And No, I have never got Chickenpox before.

Call your Dr. because yes, contracting chicken pox now would be a bad thing. Did you ever get a varicella vaccine? If you had that one you should be okay. ~j

I am 29 and asked my dr. this yesterday because I have never had them either. He sent me for a blood test to see if I have had them. Sometimes you can get such a mild case you just think you have the flu. If the test shows I have never had them then he will give me the vaccine for it. He says if you are an adult they will be horrible if you get them. You should definitely get the test.
