Recipe Feeder
1 1/2 cups vegetable,,,your choice of mixture.
1/4 cup cup chopped onion
1/3 cup sliced celery
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp salt or to taste
1/4 tsp pepper or to taste
1 bay leaf
2 cans chicken broth
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp flour
1 1/2 cups Half & Half

In 3 qt. sauce pan combine vegetables, S&P, garlic and bay leaf. Add water to chicken broth to make 3 cups, add to the pan. Bring mixture to boil, reduce heat and simmer til veggies are tender. Drain and save broth, remove bay leaf, puree veggies (or not) till the consistency you like. In another pan melt the butter, add flour, bring to a bubble, add veg puree, broth and half & half; stir til soup is thickened.
