what is the best way to save on a vacation that includes hotel and plane?

You will get busted.. Everyone needs a pass in Vegas for the room.. You can try but good luck..

you won´t be able to pull it of, but some hotels offer extra beds in the same room being cheaper than getting 2 rooms.

You can't do that. You'll get nailed and have to pay the extra anyway. In the Strip hotels. you need to have the key in hand to access the elevator.

It really depends on the ages of the extra guests. Some hotels like Circus Circus, don't charge if you are under 18. Assuming you all are over 18, then you will be taking a chance by putting down 2 and bringing more people. I would not call it "illegal," but it is dishonest. The extra charges are usually around $15/day per person, so it is not that much of a savings. The best way to save is to look for air/hotel vacation bargains and go during a time of year when they are offered.

I just recently purchased a vacation package for 4 days in September. We have 4 adults staying in one Pyramid room at the Luxor. The total price was around $1200($300 each), which included airfare and shuttle from the airport and return to airport. Incidentally, the flight times we got were awesome. Early on departure date and late on return date.
