2 cup Flour
1 tablespoon Baking Powder
2 tablespoon Sugar
teaspoon Salt
4 tablespoon Butter
cup Cream
2 Eggs

Heat ovev to 400f. Sift the flour and baking powder, sugar and salt. Cut in the butter. Use a pastry blender to cut in the butter until it resembles large crumbs. Separate 1 of the eggs, reserving the egg white in a small dish.

Combine the yolk with the other egg and cream, and beat well. Add the liquid to the dry mixture, and stir until just blended. Mix with your hands to form a dough. Do not overwork the dough. Roll the dough on a sheet of wax paper to a thickness of 1/2 inch. Cut into 2-inch rounds, and place on ungreased cookie sheets.

Lightly beat the egg white, and brush the tops of the scones. Bake in the center of the oven 10 minutes, or until the tops are brown.
