2 cups sugar
2 cups water
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup margarine
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup shortening
1/2 cup milk
5 apples, peeled and grated
sugar
cinnamon
Servings: 12
1. Combine sugar, water, and cinnamon in medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add margarine and set aside.

2. Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and then mix with shortening and milk. Roll dough onto floured surface about 1/4 inch thick. Spread apples over surface of dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar. Roll up. Slice into 12 one-inch rolls.

3. Put in 9 x 13 baking pan. Pour syrup over them. Bake 45 minutes at 350F.
