Caramel Frosting

1/4 cup sweet cream or half and half
1 tablespoon butter
6 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups confectioner's sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
Servings: 20
Mix cream, butter, brown sugar and salt and place over low heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Do not let boil! Remove from heat. Stir in confectioner's sugar and vanilla. Stir until cool enough to spread on a 9" cake.
