Recipe Feeder
Also known as Barbecued Beef on Bun.
All Trigg County, SC Schools - food service directors,
used this recipe from 1945 through 2001.

2 pounds ground beef
1 tbsp margarine (optional)
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 tbsp vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp dry mustard
3/4 cup tomato catsup
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup onion, chopped fine
1/4 cup celery, chopped fine
2 tsp salt (optional)
12 hamburger buns

Scramble beef in margarine until done. Drain fat off
and rinse in colander with hot water to remove more fat.
Add remaining ingredients and simmer until
vegetables are done. Serve on a hamburger bun.
For more beef flavor add a beef boulillon cube
and leave out salt.

Makes 12 servings.
