Butterscotch Sauce

1 cup light cream
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup corn syrup, light or dark
1/3 cup butter or margarine
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/8 teaspoon salt

Measure all ingredients into saucepan. Heat and stir over medium heat until mixture boils. Boil and stir for 2 minutes. Cool. Makes 2 cups.
