Savory Beets

2 tablespoons chopped onion
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
3 tablespoons honey
2 tablespoons wine vinegar
Salt, to taste
1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
1 16-ounce can sliced beets, drained
Servings: 4
Sauté onion in butter in large skillet over medium heat until softened. Add honey, vinegar, salt and cloves; cook and stir until mixture begins to boil. Add beets; cook until thoroughly heated.
