Cheeseburger Pie
Heat oven to 425F
1 stick or 1/2 packet Betty Crocker pie crust mix
1 lb. ground beef
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup dry bread crumbs
1 can (8oz) tomato sauce
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped green pepper
Cheese Topping (below)
1/2 cup chili sauce

Cheese Topping:
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
1/2 tsp. each salt, dry mustard and worcestershire sauce
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
6 to 8 servings
Prepare pastry for 9" one-crust pie as directed on package.
In medium skillet, cook and stir meat until brown.
Drain off fat.
Stir in salt, oregano, pepper, crumbs, 1/2 cup of the tomato sauce, the onion and green pepper.
Turn into pastry-lined pie pan.
Spread Cheese Topping over filling.
Bake about 30 minutes.
Cut inot wedges.
Stir together remaining tomato sauce and the chili sauce; serve with pie.

Cheese Topping:
Beat egg and milk; stir in seasonings and cheese.
