Old Fashioned Bread Stuffing

Ingredients:
1 c Finely chopped celery 8 c Dry bread cubes
1/2 c Chopped onion 3/4 c Chicken broth or water
1 ts Poultry seasoning or 1/4 ts Pepper
-dried sage leaves 1/8 ts Salt
1/2 c Margarine
Instructions:
In a small sauce pan cook celery and onion, in butter, until tender but
not brown. Remove from heat. Stir in poultry seasoning, 1/4 ts pepper, and
1/8 ts salt. Place dry bread cubes in a bowl. Add onion and celery mix.
Pour in enough broth or water to moisten, tossing lightly. Use to stuff
one 8 to 10 lb. turkey. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
MICROWAVE DIRECTIONS: Micro cook onions and celery in a one quart cassrole
dish with butter for 6 to 8 minutes on high. Continue as above.
HERB AND ONION STUFFING: Prepare as above but add 1 cup more onions and
leave out the celery. Use sage and add 1/4 cup snipped parsley, 1/2 ts
dried thyme, and 1/4 ts marjoram.
