Thread: Does Caillou Have Lukemia? Or A Mental Illness?

Default Does Caillou Have Lukemia? Or A Mental Illness?

What kind of illness does Caillou have? He's a bald 4 year old boy who sounds like he has a mental illness. His head is oddly large. His sister is normal shaped and she is about 2 and has a full head of hair as do his parents and grandparents and everyone else in the show including all of the other kids his age. All the other kids (of the same age) sound normal, but Caillou is just weird compared to any of them. At first when I saw the character, I assumed he had leukemia or something, but now I think it's mental illness of some kind. It's not stated, and the song at the beginning would have you believe he is just a normal 4 year old boy, but the show very much contradicts that.

This is just an observation that I've made while being forced to watch the show with my children over the years.

Has anyone else noticed this, or even given it a passing thought that something may be wrong with him? Just wondering.

To be quite honest with you, I have often wondered the same thing. I passed it off as nothing, but since you bring it up, he does seem a little bit slow or something too.

He speaks different, he's very bald for a four-year-old, and yes he looks like he's had chemotherapy. But my kids love him!
