How can you avoid smaller Crackpot recipes from burning?

I've got a huge crackpot yet very little freezer and fridge space to keep the unused servings. I usually have to reduce the ingredients in half and due to this my recipes are burning. Any recommendations or suggestions?

Decrease the cooking time. Smaller recipes will require a reduced time to cook than larger ones. You could also decrease the temp if your crackpot features the option, most do.

If you cannot reduce the temperature, reduce the cooking period by 50%.
