Glass Measuring Cup:
Use for measuring liquids. Set the cup on the counter, pour in the liquid and bend down to check the correct amount at eye level.

Dry Measuring Cups (Usually found in 1/4, 1/3, 1/2, and 1 cup sizes):
Use for measuring flour, sugar, shortening and chopped foods. Pack and level with spatula, brown sugar, shortening, butter or margarine. Dip and level with spatula, white sugar and flour.

Measuring Spoons (Usually found in 1/4 tsp, 1/2 tsp, 1 tsp, and 1 tbsp sizes):
Use for measuring salt, baking powder, baking soda, cornstarch, spices, and vanilla.
