6 slice Bacon, Cut Into 1" or 2.5cm Long Pieces
2½ pound Beef Roast, Cubed
1/3 cup Flour
1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
1½ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Basil
1 dash Garlic Powder
½ cup Red Wine
2 medium Onions, Cut Into 1/2" or 1cm Thick Wedges
2 cup Mushrooms, Sliced

In a 3 qt microwave safe casserole, microwave bacon, covered, on 100 % power high for 6 minutes. Drain off fat,reserving 2 tb in casserole. Add beef cubes to casserole. Toss with flour, soy sauce, seasoned salt,basil and garlic powder. Stir in 1 1/2 cups hot water, wine and onions. Cook,covered,5 minutes.

Cook,uncovered,on 50% power medium for 30 minutes,stirring once. Add mushrooms. Cook,uncovered, 35 to 45 minutes or until beef is tender,stirring once. Cover and let stand 10 minutes.
