Any assortment of fruit or glazed cherries can be used. Be creative.

Distilled water, 1" depth
4 strawberries, halved
8 mandarin orange sections
Distilled water, 1/8" depth
Distilled water, 1" depth
Distilled water, 1" depth
Makes 1 ring
Pour first amount of water into ring pan using a salad mold or a bundt pan.
Freeze.
Arrange strawberries, cut side down around top as well as orange sections and holly leaves.
Pour just barely enough water to freeze them in place.
If you add too much water at this stage, fruit will float.
Freeze.
Pour third amount of water over fruit.
Freeze.
Add final layer of water.
Freeze.
Unmold to use in punch.

Note:
for less dilution of punch as ring thaws, use a sugar-free drink such as diet 7-UP or diet ginger ale.
If you use a soft drink containing sugar, ice will thaw too fast.
