    Toasty Oats Snack

    6 cups oats 2 cups broken walnuts 2 cups golden raisins 1/2 cup chopped dates Heat oven to 250F. Spread oats and walnuts in ungreased roasting pan. Bake uncovered 1 hour, shaking pan occasionally. Cool. Mix with raisins and dates. 24 servings (about 1/3 cup each)

    Orange Dessert Salad

    6 Oranges, sliced in rounds 2 tb Slivered almonds, toasted -and seeded Juice of 1/2 lemon 6 Large pitted dates, chopped 1 ts Cinnamon 6 servings Combine oranges, dates and almonds in a serving dish. Gently stirin lemon juice and chill for an hour. Just before serving, sprinkle with cinnamon.
