Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease a 1 1/2 quart casserole with lid. In a fry pan cook the following ingredients until bacon is crisp:
4 slices side bacon, cut in 1" pieces
1/2 chopped onion
1/2 chopped green pepper
Drain well.
In prepared casserole dish, stir until dissolved:
3 cups boiling water
3 chicken bouillon cubes
Blend in:
1/2 cup catsup
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. brown sugar
1 1/3 cup precooked rice
Stir in bacon mixture with 3 (4 1/4 oz.) cans shrimp, drained or 2 cups cooked ham.
Cover casserole and bake, stirring occasionally for 25 to 30 minutes.
Makes 6-8 servings.
