Lemon Chess Bars

BOTTOM LAYER:
1 cup butter
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup confectioner's sugar
TOP LAYER:
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
4 tablespoons flour
6 tablespoons lemon juice
grated rind from 2 lemons

1. Cream butter. Add flour and sugar. Mix well. Pat mixture into a pan (18x12). Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes.

2. Beat together eggs, flour, sugar, lemon juice, and rind. Avoid over beating. Pour over baked bottom layer. (It is not necessary to cool bottom layer.)

3. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool on a wire rack. Sift confectioner's sugar over top. Cut into bars.
