1 pkg. (3oz) fruit-flavored gelatin
1/3 cup light corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter or margarine
4 cups Trix cereal
Butter baking pan or dish, 9x9x2". In large saucepan, heat gelatin (dry), corn syrup and butter to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat; stir in cereal until evenly coated.
Pat mixture evenly in pan with buttered back of spoon. Cover; chill until set, about 30 minutes. Cut into 1 1/2" squares. Store at room temperature.
