Gardasil Side Effect Reports Included 28 Deaths, Group SaysJun 25, 2009 | Parker Waichman Alonso LLP A conservative advocacy group is charging that more than 2 dozen women and girls died in 2008 after receiving Gardasil injections. According to a press release issued by Judicial Watch, there have been a total of 47 deaths linked to Gardasil since it was brought to market in 2006.Gardasil is a vaccination that prevents some forms of the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) that cause cervical cancer. Gardasil has been controversial because of attempts by Merck & Co. to make it mandatory, and because of continuing questions about its safety.Earlier this month, the Food & Drug Administration (FDA) announced that the Gardasil label had been updated to include more prominent warnings about fainting that can occur following administration of the vaccine. According to the agency, some Gardasil fainting victims have suffered from tonic-clonic (jerking) movements and seizure-like activity, and some have fallen resulting in traumatic injuries. According to roughly 13% of Gardasil side effects reported to Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) describe fainting.Judicial Watch says it has obtained records from the FDA documenting 28 deaths in 2008 associated with Gardasil, up from 19 deaths in 2007. Of the 47 deaths reported since 2006, Judicial Watch said 41 occurred within a month of receiving the vaccine, and of those 17 were within two weeks of receiving the vaccine. In most of the deaths the cause is still unknown.According to the group, the FDA documented 6,723 "adverse events" related to Gardasil in 2008, of which 1,061 were considered "serious," and 142 considered "life threatening," Judicial Watch said. The group said it obtained the data from VAERS.Since last June, 235 cases detailed permanent disability. There were also 29 new cases of Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and 147 cases of "spontaneous abortions," or miscarriages, when the vaccine was given to pregnant women, Judicial Watch said.Judicial Watch also documented 62 cases of Gardasil recipients who developed warts after receiving the vaccine. In additional to reports of genital warts, there were 21 reports of girls developing warts on other areas of the body, including face, hands and feet, and in one case, "all over her body."

You should talk about it with a doctor that provides Gardasil. You can also look at their website.

Well you have to consider that you have like a one in ten thousand chance of getting a reaction like that, actually probably less considering the amount of girls who have gotten it all over the world. On the other hand, you have about a ONE IN SIX chance of getting genital warts that could lead to cervical cancer. I'd rather not take that kind of chance, myself. I want to have kids, and I definitely want to be around to see them grow up.

yep, 40 deaths and not one single life saved. Viruses can mutate with each life cycle so chances are that the vaccine is already out of date and useless.Pharmacist who's life was almost ruined by Lipitor

But you have a near zero chance of getting HPV if you use condoms (correctly) when you have sex. I can't believe people would rather get a risky vaccine than wear a condom.Good article, but next time you need to find a better source for your information and include a link. The link to the article you pasted is here: http://www.yourlawyer.com/articles/read/16678But from what I can find it does look like your information is correct. There are no official warnings of course, but many articles about the dangers, and the same kind of denial from the authorities you see with other vaccines. They're chalking the reactions up to coincidence, and saying they're unrelated. But the difference here is, that we're vaccinating against an STD. I don't plan on getting my daughter this shot when she's older. I think I'll just try to teach her to be conscientious and responsible instead.

It sounds like the FDA's up to something again where they don't tell you ANY if the past events in which someone else has been severely injured or killed. I just had a Mesh Prolift Implant put in last July, started suffering from chronic fatigue, UTIs, and pain down my leg. I had NEVER read that these things specifically were happening to others, and it was something to watch for. It went undiagnosed until I went to see a Urologist in desperation, and he immediately got me in for surgery (within the next week!). The mesh has been growing into various other parts of my body, causing bleeding and the whole bit. Even my family Dr. overlooked this one because it "NEVER happens to people." Even Dr.s are jaded. So, I just don't trust them anymore. It wreaked havoc on my system and I will NEVER trust that federal agency again!!!!My 1st clue should have been the carseat that was recalled after there were at least 200,000 injuries to babies after falling out. It wasn't until a baby was actually KILLED until they did something about it!!! This happened a couple years ago!
