Insect Poison Indoors?

Well we have a wasps problem at my house. They made a hive under my steps where we cannot reach so my dad decided to plug all the areas that they could get out from under the steps with dirt. Well apparently there is a hole that leads from under the steps into my room. Earlier today I had found 5 wasps in my bedroom and 2 in the bathroom. When I told my dad this he told me to go spray Raid Wasp & Hornet Killer in my bedroom and in the washroom. I told him that was retarded and I wouldn't do it.. So without my knowledge he did. He didn't bother to removed his toothbrush or the cats food from the washroom. My room smells really badly of Raid and I am now worried about my safety and the safety of my animals. I have already started to wash my clothes and moved my cat's food and closed both doors. Only thing is both of those rooms have really poor ventilation. Is this something I should be worried about? What else can I do to help the situation?

If you have windows, open them for a while and air them out by putting a fan facing out the window...if u don't have windows, open the bedroom and bathroom doors and face a fan out towards the rest of the house and make sure all windows are open. that would be the only way to ventilate out those rooms. good thing u thought about the catfood and toothbrushes :) good luck....ps- gas kills wasps and destroys their nests, my boyfriend just took like a weed killer pump bottle (4get what it's called) and put gas in it and sprayed it into the wasp nest and it killed them all, and they never flew out after him (it was night time) but be careful anyway
