I don't usually discuss this, but I wash my clothes in hot water with some laundry detergent-- usually in a washing machine!

to run a load with vinegar a couple times a year....I will run a load of towels in place of soap I use two cups vinegar, then rewash as normal....it keeps the machine hoses clean and the tub and I always notice the other loads for about a month just feel cleaner

I use Tide liquid laundry detergent & liquid Downy. What a great smell. I use Clorox once in a while as needed, then I put the clothing through a second rinse. When drying clothing, sheets, etc., I was taught to shake the wrinkles out a little, before putting them into the dryer, so as to lessen the drying time, thus save electric.

A little known, very effective, inexpensive way to remove most stains, even set in ones, Fels-Naptha soap. The stuff is better than most commercially prepared stain removers and way cheaper, too. I also love Biz Activated Non-chlorine bleach additive because it is really stain activated, removes mystery stains, keeps clothes brighter and darks from fading.

I use vinegar where the fabric softener goes. I am allergic to many fabric softeners and the vinegar helps remove detergent residue and leaves a clean smell. I also like to add some baking soda to detergent in the wash. It helps remove dirt gently from fabrics.

Use Anti-Bacterial dish liquid. This will release smell from the clothing.

Mix vinegar and water into a spray bottle. Use it on everything, counters, floors, sinks and to deodorize. Soften clothes - vinegar in the final rinse and then to dry, I use the Magic Dryer balls (then I don't need the nasty dryer sheets that are full of chemicals). I hate the dryer sheets. Sometimes I will use Fantastic Antibacterial (Lemon). It doesn't streak and it disinfects. Scenting the home naturally - essential oil candles or beeswax. Or simmer cinnamon and cloves on the stove top for natural scent. Windows - windshield washer fluid - it's cheap and there is always plenty on hand in the garage. I use it to refill the Windex bottle.Floors - Swiffer WetJet - love it and I threw away the mop & bucket. Go to automotive or a big discount store Sam's or Costco and get a big bag of microfiber cloths for cleaning anything and dusting.
