Sort: Clear out the space. 4 walls, floor and ceiling. Make 2 piles, keep and toss.Clean: Make everything look like new. (If possible) Paint, mop the floor or vacuum, wash the windows.Arrange: Put everything into a permanent place. Nothing else can stay there. Sustain: Don't just toss things. Take a couple of seconds to put stuff away, now. Laundry, put it in the hamper. Clean clothes, put away to keep it clean. Groceries, put away right away. Don't put off until later.Good luck.

the new Windex Multi-Task Cleaner with Vinegar is AWESOME! you can use it on anything to make is shine and clean off the dust or soap spots. its not the best for if you want to get the house super clean, but its great for spot cleaning and making it look like you spent hours before company or family comes over.

Pick up after yourselves - constantly. At least rinse dishes and get them in dishwasher before you go to bed. Wipe up spills from stove and floor as they happen, much easier than trying to scrub them off 3 days later. Sink nasty when you wash your hands? Take 1 extra minute right then and clean it out. Put cleanser in the toilet and let it sit; next time you are in bathroom scrub toilet out. Spray tub/shower down with cleanser and let it work before you get in to shower, easier for you to clean while you are in there. Little things like this will save you time at the end of a week, and keep house a little cleaner. Kids/spouse MUST do the same - you are not their maid. Everybody needs to help. I like to see how much I can do during tv commercials - it's amazing what you can accomplish in 5 minutes!

The biggest thing is cut down on clutter. The less you have to clean, the less you have to clean. Be heartless about it - you really don't need 200 Spiegel catalogs & your kids don't need 50 barbie heads. My dog, on the other hand, does need 20 stuffed toys!

Always do everything to the section of the house that you are cleaning dust mop vacuum scrub windows etc. so that when you leave an area its done and you don't have to come back . I always listen to fast paced music when I clean i find that it goes so much faster . Pirates of the Caribbean soundtrack is great ! when you do bathrooms first thing toilet cleaner and tub cleaner need applied to their areas then do mirrors then sink then toilet and tub . Floor last can be done really fast if you use a spray cleaner with your mop instead of messing with a mop and bucket hope this helps happy cleaning !

Always clean your kitchen sink first and make it shine. Use furniture spray to clean your shower - wipes clean instantly. De-clutter.
