While cutting onions, I wear my safety glasses to keep the onion juice from seeking out the moisture in my eyeballs and making me cry. After cutting onions or garlic I rinse in cool water and then rub them all over something stainless steel to remove the odors and then wash as usual.I pre-treat my laundry in ALL with stain Lifter and then wash as usual and that keeps me from buying those other products that don't work.I use 1 cup white vinegar in the rinse cycle of my laundry to save money on fabric softener and deodorize the laundry. For make-up stains anywhere including carpet and clothing, I use a cold cream make-up remover with a soft cloth or tooth brush (on both sides of the fabric) and then rinse and wash. Gets it out every time. When my dog used to pee on the floor, I immediately cleaned it with a rag and then sprayed the area with white vinegar to eliminate any smell and prevent a return trip from the dog. I also mop my floors now in a vinegar and water solution from a spray bottle to conserve the product as well as save money and keep the dog from peeing in the house.I cook two or three meals worth of food and freeze the rest into separate dinner size portions for those nights we are in a rush to keep from buying junk from fast food. To prevent clothing over load, I toss anything I have not seen or worn in a year.To prevent toy over load, I go through the playroom before every birthday and holiday and remove anything they have not played with since the last time or that has broken or missing pieces. To keep my kids from playing too many video games, they can only play 30 minutes a day on Friday, saturday and sunday. The rest of the time we spend outside.I allow my children to make home made bread so they take their frustrations out on the dough rather than their brothers.I descale my bathroom fixtures and even the faucets (I remove them and soak them in a large bag in the sun) with plain white vinegar. This has saved me from buying new faucets (very expensive) with the hard water we have. I know it is time when the water starts whistling through the faucet making a loud annoying noise.

Baking Soda, Baking Soda, Baking Soda.... You can clean with it (dishes, carpet, bathroom tub and sinks, clothes and of course the smell in the referigerator) I keep the Arm n' Hammer baking soda in every bathroom and in the kitchen. It's hard enough to scrub with and gentle enough not to take out color or scratch any surface. There are alot of articles on the net about the many uses of baking soda. http://66.155.122.114/default.aspx?ITEMID=7&utm_source=yahoo&utm_medium=sem&utm_campaign=2008_fridgefreshThis site has the lady telling you about all the many ways Baking Soda can help clean. "The best part is the low cost!!"

2 TRICKS TO CUTTING ONIONS SO THEY DON'T MAKE YOUR EYES WATER ARE: soak them in ice water for 15 minutes or place in the freezer for 10 minutes before cutting, and cut the root end last, once you break into the root the enzymes are released. To keep ants out of the house or to get rid of them in the house, sprinkle Cayenne pepper (from the spice section) around entry ways and window sills.

Check Martha Stewart.com or Real Simple. They are loaded with tips.Mine: Dust with a slightly damp microfiber cloth, that you have folded in 8ths. When it gets dirty on the part you are using, turn to another section.Good Luck!
