I'm pretty sure there's a difference between stillbirth and miscarriage, but are spontaneous abortion and miscarriage two different things?

Abortion is scraping lol. Miscarriage is being thrown down the stairs lol. Stillbirth is strangulation from the umbilical cord lol.

A spontaneous abortion is when you go to a clinic and actually kill the baby inside you. A miscarriage is when something goes wrong during a pregnancy and you pretty much bleed out your baby like when your having a period. A stillbirth is when your baby is born dead :(

spontaneous abortion - is when a woman ends the pregnancy for her own personal reasons. (i disagree completely!) stillbirth - not exactly sure what it is but it's different from abortion, meaning the death of the baby wasn't because the mother ended the life. and miscarriage - baby dies because of complications.

Spontaneous abortion is a natural miscarriage where your body cleans itself out and you need no surgery to remove anything. So basically miscarriage and spontaneous abortion are the same. Stillbirth is when the baby is born lifeless. All sad things. Hope i helped.

Okay, first for the people that don't know what "spontaneous" means, it means without a plan. In other words it was not a choice or planned.A spontaneous abortion is the MEDICAL term for a miscarriage. The two words are interchangable.A stillbirth is when the fetus is technically old enough to survive outside of the uterus, but dies in the uterus...usually they have to induce labor and you have to deliver the baby. Or they will simply do a c-section and remove the baby. Most spontaneous abortions/miscarriages happen within the first trimester (rarely between 13-24 weeks, after 24 weeks it is considered a still birth).A spontaneous abortion or miscarriage does not require a death certificate, however most states do issue one for a still birth after 24 weeks of pregnancy.

Spontaneous abortion and a miscarriage are the same thing as a few INTELLIGENT people mentioned above. (google it for further information)Stillbirth is when your child is born lifeless. (google it for further information)A 'surgical' or 'medical' abortion is what the morons above consider as 'killing' your baby.As for those comments, that's opinion. Every woman has a right to choose what she wants to do with her body.PRO-Choice*

Spontaneous abortion is the medical term that will be used if you have a miscarriage, it will be what the doctor writes in your medical chart. Miscarriage is the common term for a spontaneous abortion, because of the negative connotation of the term abortion. A miscarriage is when a fetus prior to 24 weeks of gestation stops growing (dies) in the womb. If in early gestation, the fetus may be passed as a period naturally or you may need a dilation and curettage to remove the fetus, if later in gestation you may have to go through labor/C-section. Stillbirth is when a baby over 24 weeks of gestation dies in the womb. The reason for the 24 week cut-off is that is generally when a baby would be viable outside of the womb. The baby would be delivered by labor/c-section.

Spontaneous abortion is another name for miscarriage. Stillbirth is when the miscarriage occurs later in pregnancy.
