1 cup brown sugar (packed)
2 cups water
2 tbsp. butter
3/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
1/3 cup water
1 1/4 cups Bisquick baking mix
1 cup raisins or cut up dates
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1 tsp. vanilla
Ginger Topping

In saucepan, heat 1 cup brown sugar, 2 cups water and the butter to boiling, stirring occasionally; boil 5 minutes. Pour into ungreased baking pan, 8x8x2". Mix remaining ingredients except topping thoroughly. Spoon batter onto mixture in pan. (Batter will sink into liquid and spread out as it bakes.) Bake 40 to 45 minutes at 350F. Serve warm with Ginger Topping.
