Recipe Feeder
4 tbsp margarine 60 mL
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate 115 g
2/3 cup boiling water 150 mL
2 cups sugar 500 mL
1/4 cup corn syrup 60 mL
1/4 tsp salt 1 mL
2 tsp vanilla 10 mL

Melt margarine and chocolate in heavy 3 qt/3 L saucepan over low heat. Stir in rest of ingredients, except vanilla.

Bring to boil over medium heat and cook without striring until sauce is thickened and dark and glossy, about 8 minutes.

Stir in vanilla. Serve hot over ice cream.
Chef's Note

A thick hot fudge sauce to serve over ice cream. Store any leftover, covered in fridge. Reheat to serve.
