Lovely golden brown on top. Serve with a tossed lettuce or spinach salad and rolls or toast.

Cream Sauce:
6 tbsp. butter or margarine
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 1/2 cups milk
1 1/2 cups milk

1 cup diced cooked ham
1 cup grated medium or sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 x 10oz. canned sliced mushrooms, drained

Cream Sauce:
Melt butter in large Dutch oven.
Mix in flour, salt and pepper.
Stir in first amount of milk until it boils and thickens.
Whisk in second amount of milk.
Mixture can be refrigerated at this point until the next day.

Beat eggs in small bowl until smooth.
Stir into cream sauce.
Add ham, cheese and mushrooms.
Mix well.
Pour into greased 8 x 8" pan.
Bake in 350F oven for about 1 1/2 hours.
An inserted knife should come out clean.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
