Will Green Tomatoes Ripen After Being Picked?

It's supposed to frost within the week, and my tomato plants have lots
of green tomatoes on them. Should I pick them and bring the green
tomatoes inside and let them ripen, and will they?

The short answer is YES! I learned this from my father a long time ago. He would always pick the remaining tomatoes from his garden upon frost time. One thing he does that I don't do, is he wraps them in newspaper. Since the sun does not actually ripen the tomatoes and tomatoes ripen better in dark cool places, this works for him. Just keep an eye on them if you keep them in a very cool area, they will ripen very fast. My house is very cool and my green tomatoes ripen within a week of picking them.
