FROSTING FOR SWEET BREAD

1/2 cup sifted confectioners sugar
2 tsp. cream or milk
a few drops vanilla (clear vanilla preferred)
a drop Wilton's frosting white (optional)
1 tbsp. sliver almonds (optional)
2 candied cherries chopped (optional)

Mix sugar and milk, vanilla and cake white (optional) to make a smooth, thin frosting that can be poured over cake.

Add a few tablespoons at a time of sugar if mixture is too thin, or a few drops of water at a time if mixture is too thick, to adjust to a pouring consistency. Mixture will thicken upon standing.

Pour over sweet breads such as Kulich, cinnamon coffee cakes or pecan rolls.

Top with slivered almonds or cherries, if desired.

Turns any sweet bread into a festive holiday treat!
