9 1/2 ounces Powdered sugar, sifted
2 fluid ounces Light cream or milk
1 ounce Unsalted butter, melted
2 teaspoons Vanilla, lemon or almond extract
Yield: 12 ounces
1. Stir the ingredients together in a small bowl until smooth.

2. Adjust the consistency by adding more cream or milk to thin the glaze if necessary.

3. Adjust the flavor as necessary.

4. Use immediately, before the glaze begins to dry.



Notes: Variation:

Flavored Sugar Glaze -- Stir 0.04 fl. oz. (1/4 teaspoon/1 milliliter) lemon or orange oil into the glaze. Fruit juice and other flavorings may be substituted for the vanilla.
