Easy Recipe That May Help Lower Cholesterol

You will need a good juice blender (such as BlendTec) and some fresh fruits and veges as shown below:

Red Seedless Grapes (Few)
Fuji Apples (1-2)
Strawberries (Few)
Celery (4 sticks)
Carrots, peeled (1 stick)
Fresh Ginger, peeled (very small piece)
Apple juice (1/8 cup) (optional)
Water (1/2 cup)
Ice Cubes

Wash, Cut and Blend all of the above ingredients in a blender.
Serve chilled. (Serves 2-3).

Not only do fresh fruit smoothies provide vitamins and minerals to nourish our bodies, if served regularly or on a daily basis, they also tend to lower cholesterol in the blood, boost our immune system and provide energy. The fruits used can vary depending on seasonal availability and personal taste. What's important is that we use fresh ingredients, especially foods that are high in natural fiber such as apples and bananas. For example, each regular sized apple contains approximately 2g of fiber, a key ingredient in lowering cholesterol naturally.

* Key tip: Add enough fresh vegetables and not a large amount of fruit. Remember, fresh fruits contain natural sugars that can turn to fat in our bodies if consumed in large quantities. The goal here is to increase fiber intake in order to reduce cholesterol.
