Popcorn Balls

1 cup sugar
1/3 cup white corn syrup
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup butter
3/4 Teaspoon salt
3/4 Teaspoon vanilla
3 quarts popped corn

Put sugar, syrup, water, butter and salt in a saucepan.
Cook, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
Continue cooking without stirring until it reaches 250 degrees.
Add vanilla and stir only enough to mix.
Pour over corn and mix well.
Form into balls.
You can add food coloring along with the vanilla for colored popcorn balls.
