1 1/2 pounds onions, thinly sliced (6 cups)
1 stick butter
3 (10-ounce) can beef broth
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce (2 to 2 1/2 teaspoons)
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon cracked pepper
1/8 teaspoon curry powder
1/16 teaspoon garlic powder
Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Mozzarella cheese
French bread, toasted with garlic butter
Servings: 4
Sauté onions in butter until tender, about 20 minutes. Add beef broth and remaining ingredients except cheese. Cook over low heat for at least 10 minutes. Place Mozzarella cheese in bottom of soup bowls; pour hot soup over cheese. Top with toasted French bread, and Mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
