Ok, This is my favorite steak marinade recipe:1 1/2 cups steak sauce1 tablespoon soy sauce1/3 cup Italian-style salad dressing1/3 cup honey1/2 teaspoon garlic powder1 tablespoon teriyaki sauceBut I ran out of A-1 steak sauce (first ingredient) So... If I were to substitute barbeque sauce for Steak sauce, would that work fine? (its a tangy bbq sauce thats like A1, so I think it should befine..) Anyone? Thanks :)Also tossing in some Worsteshire sauce, for that added kickThanks for the advice... And the vinegar is to tenderize the steak, right? I was going to use a bit of lemon juice...And its a sirloin cut

What kind of steak? Why are you ruining good setak with all the crap? The best thing on steak is salt and pepper. Or aa steak seoning blend at the very most.

Do it. No recipe is written in stone. Unless you are baking, (a science), you are an artist. splash the canvas.

Mix all ingredients except the steak sauce and add a tiny bit at the end and taste it. If it's good then go for it. I'm sure it will be fine. Call me when the steaks are ready. Thanks Mate. Cheers.

How about finding a new marinade recipe?http://www.certifiedangusbeef.com/Of course you can make all the changes recommended and what you were planning, and you will have a new recipe anyway. And it will work, but not taste the same.
