3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup light corn syrup
1/2 cup light cream
2 tbsp butter, softened
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla extract
In a 3-quart saucepan, stir together the
cocoa powder, sugar, corn syrup, cream,
butter and salt.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly,
until mixture comes to a full rolling boil;
boil 5-minutes, stirring several times;
remove from heat; stir in vanilla.
Serve hot or at room temperature. Tightly
cover any sauce left over and store in the
refrigerator; before serving, reheat gently;
Makes aboute 2 cups.
