Recipe Feeder
2 lb bottom round steak cut to 1/2 in thickness
1/2c. flour
2 T olive oil
salt and pepper
Season steaks with salt and pepper, dredge in four shaking off excess. Brown in large frying pan untill browned on each side. Remove to baking dish.
1 c. diced onion
1 c. diced celery
1 c. green pepper sliced thinly
1 T minced garlic.
1 T olive oil if needed
To the same pan the meat was cooked in add olive oil if needed. Add vegetables and cook over medium heat unill softened but now browned, about 10 min.
1 can diced tomato
2 T tomato paste
1/2 c dry red wine (I just used 2 frozen ice cubes of wine, thats what I had)
1 c. chicken stock.
1 T dried thyme
1 T dried basil
Add diced tomato, paste, wine. stock and spices to pan with vegtables. Bring to a boil. Pour over meat in baking dish. Bake at 325 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours untill tender.
Serve with mashed potaoes.
