Recipe Feeder
for the crust:

1 cup chocolate wafer crumbs
1/4 cup chopped nuts
3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine

for the filling:

1 envelope (packet)unflavored gelatin
1/2 cup and 1/2 cup water, separated
1 8 ounce package room temperature cream cheese
1 cup white granulated sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla flavoring
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract
3 melted 1 ounce squares semi sweet chocolate
1 cup frozen whipped topping, thawed

for the crust:

Heat oven to 325 degrees F.
Combine the crumbs, nuts, and butter together. Press onto bottom of a 9 inch spring form pan. Bake for 10 minutes.

for the filling:

In a medium saucepan, soften the gelatin in 1/2 cup water.
Then add the other 1/2 cup water. Stir together over a low heat until the gelatin is dissolved. Combine the cream cheese, sugar, vanilla and mint together. Mix until well blended. Stir in the chocolate.
Then gradually add the gelatin. Chill until slightly thickened. Fold in the whipped topping. Pour on top of the crust and let chill until firm.

Garnish with additional whipped topping and nuts, if desired.

Makes 10 to 12 servings
