three teaspoonfuls of baking powder

Nice corn muffins can be made as follows:
Beat together two eggs, one tablespoonful
of butter, half a cup of sugar, half a cup
of corn meal, and a teaspoonful of salt.
Add half a pint of sweet milk and two cups
of flour in which three teaspoonfuls of
baking powder have been sifted. Bake
in rings.

Modern baking instructions:

Pour batter into 12 muffin cups.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 15 to 20-minutes.


Sweet milk is regular whole milk.
