Recipe Feeder

Ingredients:

Green Papaya 1/4th of small one
Yogurt 2 cups
Sugar a pinch
Roasted Cumin Powder a big pinch
Salt to taste

Urad Dal 1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
Broken Red Chiles 5
Green Chile 1
Curry Leaves 6
Oil 1 tbsp

Method of preparation:

Clean, wash, peel, remove seeds and grate green papaya on thicker side of grater.
Heat a pan, add half of grated green papaya and salt.
Remove stem, wash and slice the green chile.
Cook covered until rawness of green papaya is gone and turns soft.

In a mixing bowl, mix yogurt, cooked papaya, raw green papaya, sugar, cumin powder and salt.

Heat oil in a pan, add all masala ingredients in order.
When mustard seeds almost stop spluttering, add this tempering to above raita bowl..

Stir thoroughly and serve chilled with biryani or pulav.

Notes: Make sure to choose a firm green papaya for the raita
