Assemble your ingredients:
Hamburger buns
Ground beef
Mustard (1 tsp. per burger)
Ketchup (1 tsp. per burger)
Burger pickles (3 per burger)
Chopped white onion (1 to 2 TBSP per burger)
salt and pepper to taste
American cheese (1 slice per burger)
Crisp bacon (2 slices per burger)
1 large tomato, sliced (1 slice per burger)
Iceberg lettuce
Mayonnaise (1 TBSP. per burger)
Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.
Lightly toast the faces of the buns in a fry pan and set aside. Cook bacon until crisp. Make your burger patties and season both sides with salt and pepper while frying.
Building you burger:
Start with the bottom bun on a plate:
Place 1 tsp of mustard and 1 tsp ketchup on the bottom bun
Add 3 burger pickles and as much diced chopped white onion as you like...We like about 2 TBSP per burger.
Place cooked burger patty on top.
Add a slice of American cheese on the meat
Add 2 slices of bacon.
Add 1 slice of tomato.
Place a chunk of lettuce on the tomato.
Take the top bun and put about 1 TBSP of mayo on it and top your burger.
**This final step is key**
Wrap each burger in foil and place in a preheated 200 degree oven for about 5 or 10 minutes to warm... Unwrap and enjoy.
