I am a 59 year old woman,living in a long term care facility,but fairly independent. I get tired of institutional food sometimes,and like to treat a friend and I here about once a month for special dinners. I have a kitchen here,with basic cooking utensils,stove and microwave,but I would like to have recipes for slow cookers,salads etc for the summer,and just simple home cooked meals. I have always enjoyed entertaining by cooking basic meals.,but am just a basic cook,and do not enjoy baking.I do enjoy being creative with salads and main dishes/
