Chocolate Marshmallow Mousse

1 1/2 cups milk chocolate chips
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1/3 cup half and half or milk
2 1/4 cups frozen whipped topping thawed (about 5 oz.)

Place chips, marshmallows, and half-and-half in a 3-quart saucepan. Melt over low heat, stirring until smooth.

Immediately place saucepan in a large bowl containing cold water and ice. Stir chocolate mixture until it cools to room temperature.

Fold in 2 cups of the whipped topping until no streaks remain. Spoon into dessert dishes. Top each with 1 tablespoon whipped topping. Chill at least 30 minutes before serving.


NOTE: Can be used to fill Chocolate Clouds or cream puffs if you prefer.
