How can I determine if I'm immune to chickenpox?

I'm 22 years old and I never got the chickenpox, my sisters got it and they were always kissing me and hugging me on purpose to make me sick but I never got the virus. Now that I'm older, I'm worried because they say it gets worse with age. I would also like to mention that my mother is 41 years old and she never got the chickenpox either, could I have inherited immunity to the disease through her?

Yes, you absolutely could have inherited resistance to chickenpox, although I don't think it's very likely. There's also a vaccine, so you could look into that if you're busy. Your resistance to the virus shouldn't affect the vaccine effectiveness. Talk to your doc about it to see if it would be a good idea.
