If the TV show "Cops" Is real how come none of the suspects acknowledge the camera crew recording them?

Have you ever noticed none of the suspects on the hit tv show COPS look or pay any attention to the camera crew? Don't you think they would ask why there being recorded or what the heck is that camera for? They don't even look at the camera! Why is this?

Because there all rednecks and don't know what a camera is!

My brother is a police officer and was on cops once or twice. All it is, is they carry a little hand held video camera that's why it blurs sometime. One partner holds the camera, its not a big camera crew lol
