Cinnamon Iced Coffee

Distinct cinnamon flavor in a cold coffee float. A summer's day drink.

2 cups hot strong prepared coffee (see Note)
3 tbsp. granulated sugar
3 cups milk
3 cinnamon sticks (4" each)
2 cups vanilla ice cream
2 tsp. white sanding (decorating) sugar, for garnish (see Note)
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon, for garnish
Serves 4
Measure hot coffee and granulated sugar into heatproof pitcher.
Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Let stand for 5 minutes.
Add milk to cofee mixture.
Stir.
Add cinnamon sticks.
Cover.
Chill for at least 4 hours until cold.
Remove and discard cinnamon sticks.
Makes aobut 5 cups iced coffee.
Put 1/2 cup ice cream (about 2 scoops) into each of 4 chilled large glasses.
Divide and pour coffee mixture over ice cream.
Combine standing sugar and cinnamon in small cup.
Sprinkle over each.

Note:
For extra-strong flavor, use espresso.

Note:
Sanding sugar is a coarse decorating sugar that comes in white and various colors and is available at specialty kitchen stores.
