Dressed Peas

Serve this as a hot or cold vegetable. Either way the basil and mustard flavors are just right with the peas.

Dressing:
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 tsp. granulated sugar
1 tsp. sweet basil
1 tsp. prepared mustard
1/4 tsp. salt
Pepper, just a pinch
Nutmeg, just a pinch

2 1/4 lbs. frozen peas
Serves 12
Dressing:
Measure first 9 ingredients in saucepan.
Heat and stir until it boils and thickens slightly.

Cook peas according to directions on package.
Drain.
Add dressing to warm peas just before serving.
Stir.
